Elena Battye Elena has been with UFG since March of 2005, and serves as our Department Manager. She is responsible for most of the purchasing, day-to-day operations, and keeping the rest of us out of trouble. She has over 30 years of experience in the floral industry, having run a fresh flower department for 18 years at a local wholesaler, and consequently has a vast background of floral knowledge. |

Esther Breau Esther is our Manufacturing Manager, and as such is responsible for the day-to- day operations of our Manufacturing Department. She is also our resident expert on anything related to cellophane and packaging. Esther has a particular passion to see that our customers are served to the best of our abilities, and is well-loved by her many customers as a result. Esther is fluent in french, and can be heard conversing with our french-speaking customers in the store on a regular basis. |

Carol Dakers Carol is our “floral guru” and our customers appreciate her incredible floral knowledge and passion for the industry, which she readily shares with anyone who asks. Carol has worked in floral design for 32 years, eight of those years with UFG Floral Supplies as our Store Manager. In her spare time Carol has served as the Canadian Director of NFA (Northwest Floral Association), has helped organize design shows, and spent 15 years on the Educational NFA committee. Carol was also awarded the “Florist of the Year” award by NFA in 2000 for recognition of service. |

Gail McKay Gail has 16 years of floral design experience, 12 of those years working on cruise ships. In September 2008, Gail brought her expertise to UFG Floral Supplies, where she now assists customers in the store, answers phones, and keeps the warehouse guys on their toes. |

Brad Snider Brad is our Warehouse Supervisor, and as such is responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operations. Consequently, since his arrival at UFG six years ago, he has developed an almost unnatural passion for finding cheaper shipping rates, organizing inventory, keeping our salespeople happy, and having well-swept floors. Lately he has also helped work on the product catalogs and the website. |

Dave Smith Dave has been with UFG Floral Supplies for the last six years, pulling orders (and taking orders!), receiving product, and helping to keep the warehouse in good order. Dave is our “Mr. Fix-It” here, and also helps take care of the maintenance for the machines in our Manufacturing Division. |

Margaret Lee Margaret moved to Vancouver from Hong Kong 18 years ago, where she had worked in trading firms, banks, and a dental clinic. Margaret joined us in January of 2008, and works part-time with us, assisting customers, answering phones, and helping keep the store in good running order. Margaret is very detail-oriented and keeps us all “on the ball.” She is fluent in Cantonese, and also knows some Mandarin. |

Marilou Cruz Marilou has been with UFG for the past six years working in our accounting department. Marilou is kept locked away in another area of our building, which means that we don’t see her that often, but it is always a joy to see her smiling face whenever she stops by the store. Marilou has a great sense of humor, and an incredible dedication to detail. |

Sandra Evans Sandra is the longest serving staff member at UFG Floral Supplies, having been working in the Manufacturing Department for almost 22 years. Sandra is the Machine Operator at Manufacturing, and likes to describe her position as the “Executive Producer” of the department. Sandra is very dedicated and detailed in making sure all our custom orders are made to perfection. |

Alex Chow Alex has been with UFG Floral Supplies since January of 2001, and is a “jack of all trades” around here. While primarily working in our Manufacturing Division, Alex also does maintenance, works in the store, and helps Dave and Brad in the supply warehouse with pulling orders and keeping the warehouse organized when he is not busy with his other responsibilities. |
